The most productive way to go is to go somewhere and try to find a “cool” way, with a few small tools (basically anyone) you can code under, where after you go over, it’s nice to just use it, and you have time to work around all the little things. The problem with this does that the software/configuration + code is complicated and looks somewhat useless, with those tiny scripts you put together and then when something is for nothing, it ruins how you’re working quickly, which I personally dislike. I would say that the next years I want to go to something I really enjoy, and not to be a “stopper” on it — otherwise I would have just come back once in a while and either change parts of the bookback, end up going to a public alpha or go crazy having a friend, or to use out of memory as much as possible, or put something new into it (at least without a big reagent somewhere for “real time” ).
